2022 has been a whirlwind of growth and opportunities for our team here at Giesler!
Projects/Accomplishments
In 2022, we worked on several major projects. We continued to educate ourselves and our clients with information and access to the latest technology advancements to help the warfighter. This year, we were directly involved in over $250 million dollars in active capture support for multiple Large Defense Contractors.
Conferences
This year, our team attended over 10 major conferences across the country, including AFCEA West, Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space, SOFIC, AFCEA TechNet Indo-Pacific (twice), and the CDCA Defense Summit. We met up with old friends and colleagues and made many new ones.
Marketing
We’ve had a ton of marketing success in adding to our Social Media Platform in 2022. Starting earlier this year, we completely revamped our website, including our first professional “About Us” video, which was a blast to shoot with our President and CEO, Patricia Giesler, Chief Strategy Officer, Kevin Uhrich, and Senior Consultant, Herman Archibald. Additionally, we started the year with about 150 followers on LinkedIn and are now about to pass 1,000! Our most successful social media post was from our Spotlight on Women Blog post series on Ret. LTG Susan Lawrence, a truly remarkable woman. We are up to 75 blog posts and 12 conference news posts, most of which include video highlights.
Personal Highlights
Among our many highlights include some personal ones. One of our former Senior Consultants, Jim Darenkamp, used his JICO and Network experience as a stepping stone for OASIS Systems LLC (now Oasis Technology and Engineering) to help design the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Distributed Systems Integrated (DSIL) at Eglin AFB supporting the 96th Cyberspace Test Group (96th CTG). ABMS is the U.S. Air Force’s contribution to the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) program. Jim remains our CFO to eliminate any conflicts of interest. It was also our delight to add retired Navy Captain, Willis Arnold to our team as a Senior Consultant. His expertise and experience in USSTRATCOM, NCTS Guam, and Fleet Cyber Command have been invaluable to our team and to our client base. Additionally, our Director of Communications, Thavey Córdoba, was able to return to her homeland of Thailand to visit and assist her mother at Agape Home. Thavey’s mother is the Founder and Director of Agape Home, an orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Giving back to our communities throughout the year has a special place in our hearts. Other travel highlights were with one of our Project Analysts, Tara Hill, who visited 4 National Parks in 2022 – Great Smoky Mountains, Shenandoah, Mt. Rainier, and Acadia!
